Tom Brady’s Shock as Rising Star JJ McCarthy Shuns Patriots! Michigan Connection Draws Quarterback to NFC Rivals – Brady Left Speechless!

Tom Brady’s faith in JJ McCarthy is under the threat of shattering. McCarthy was a proud Michigan QB, admitting that he wanted to follow in Brady’s footsteps through his preference for the Patriots. “Tom and I have a great relationship,” McCarthy had said to Adam Schefter. He still is, just that his preferences have added another team to the predictions. Earlier, McCarthy said that “being a part of the New England Patriots that means everything,” giving the fans the ultimate hint of his preferred team. Now, he is adding his opinion of another team in the mix.

When McCarthy was asked if he had an idea where he would end, the QB said a loud yes. “The New York Giants,” McCarthy confessed on the Rich Eisen show“I’ve met with them twice. I’ve spent most of my time with them. They’re a phenomenal staff. I love coach Daboll, love Mr. Schoen, love coach Tierney, coach Kafka Chicago guy,” JJ McCarthy said.

His Giants staff meeting going well and instantly forming a connection with them aren’t the only reasons why McCarthy is re-writing the narrative of his most preferred team. “Just being able to go in there pretty much know most of the install because coach Daboll came from Alabama and coach (Josh) Gattis (former Michigan OC) came to Michigan from Alabama so similar formations, motions, plays so being able to get that install in was great,” McCarthy said.

If McCarthy ends up with the Giants, sure enough, coach Daboll’s familiarity with the CFB ways would smooth out his navigation in the NFL in his initial days. Especially when he has worked under the then-Michigan OC coach Gattis and his Alabama ways. Coach Daboll and Co. are already sold on drafting JJ McCarthy. The only thing stopping them are the teams ahead of them who are also zeroed in on McCarthy.

Can the Giants get JJ McCarthy?

NFL Network’s draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah ranked JJ McCarthy as the 20th prospect in his final draft board rankings ahead of Thursday night. The only QBs ranked ahead of McCarthy are Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, and Jayden Daniels.

With that being said, the Commanders at No.2 and the Patriots at No. 3 are also on the lookout to draft JJ McCarthy. If he gets drafted that early, then the Giants at No. 6 would stand no chance to draft the QB, neither McCarthy nor Maye or Daniels.

Not only that, the top 3 signal callers might as well get off the draft board way before the Giants could ask for their pick. Hence, Joe Schoen finds himself in an intriguing position, one where he would be prompted to either move up or down the draft lineup.
