Tom Brady doesn’t have the personality to be a good NFL analyst, according to one veteran broadcaster.
Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion, is set to begin his mammoth 10-year contract with Fox next season that will see him earn $375million.
The 46-year-old has yet to prove his credentials with the microphone but it’s hoped his 22 years of experience as an NFL quarterback will make Fox’s games must-see viewing for audiences.
The pressure will be on Brady to perform almost immediately alongside play-by-play commentator Kevin Burkhardt because he’s replacing Greg Olsen, who’s earned plenty of praise for his work with Fox.
But legendary radio talk-show host Mike Francesa believes Brady will struggle as an analyst because the role requires a ‘unique quality’ that he doesn’t possess.
