NFL Draft 2024 Bombshell: Caleb Williams and Brenden Rice Hailed as Chicago Bears’ Potential ‘Next Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski’

Brenden Rice, the son of NFL legend Jerry Rice, believes he and Caleb Williams can emulate Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski if they are both drafted by the Chicago Bears.

Former USC quarterback Williams is expected to be the first overall pick, which is held by Chicago. His former college teammate Rice is projected to be taken in the later rounds.

The pair enjoyed a promising relationship on the Trojans, with Rice racking up 791 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns in his senior year.

The wide receiver believes his partnership with Williams can flourish in the NFL, too. In fact, he is confident they can be the next Brady and Gronkowski.

‘I’m telling you, we could take it. We could be that next duo – just like Gronk and Tom Brady,’ he told TMZ.

Legendary quarterback Brady and tight end Gronkowski won four Super Bowls together

Together, quarterback Brady and tight end Gronkowski won four Super Bowls – three as part of Bill Belichick‘s Patriots dynasty and one with the Buccaneers.

During their Hall of Fame careers, Brady and Gronkowski combined for 15 postseason touchdowns.

That was an NFL record until last season, when Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce broke new ground en route to a second straight Super Bowl.

Williams now hopes to be the next great NFL quarterback but the 22-year-old has come under scrutiny ahead of the draft.

‘I’ve been around the dude – he’s a great frickin’ person,’ Rice added. ‘And, a hell of a teammate.’

Rice’s father Jerry won three Super Bowls with the San Francisco 49ers during a legendary NFL career that spanned 20 seasons.
