Lady Gaga’s Role in Tom Brady & Bill Belichick’s Epic Super Bowl LI Comeback Against Falcons Revealed!

In the midst of Super Bowl LI’s halftime frenzy, Lady Gaga delivered a high-octane performance that captivated the audience. Amidst the electrifying atmosphere, the Patriots found themselves in an unforeseen huddle, not on the field but at the end of a tunnel, trying to carve a path to one of the most memorable comebacks in Super Bowl history.

Ernie Adams, who was the Pats’ football research director, was recently on the latest episode of the Games With Names podcast, hosted by former Pats WR Julian Edelman. In the podcast, he revealed how Lady Gaga might have just helped them secure the biggest Super Bowl comeback in the dynasty’s history.

Bill Belichick and Co. won the Super Bowl because of Lady Gaga

The game was absolutely in favor of the Falcons during Super Bowl LI in 2017. The Falcons had a huge lead of 21-3. And then it was halftime, and the dejected Pats huddled in the locker room. Bill Belichick and Adams were planning how to make a comeback while Lady Gaga was performing outside at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.

“Bill and I are there trying to talk,”  but the noise outside was so loud that they were “having to yell at each other.” But they were able to plan nonetheless, with Adams saying, “When you’re down like that, you come up with the best plan you can and let it go and see what happens.”

Edelman, who was playing for the Pats at the time, said, “You got to play hurt, and you got to play with Lady Gaga in the goddamn background. You got to adjust, adapt, and overcome, and if you don’t, you die.”

Edelman said Lady Gaga might have just pushed Tom Brady and Co. to make their stunning comeback.

Falcons blame Gaga for their defeat

The Atlanta Falcons, leading at halftime 21-3, stumbled and eventually lost to the New England Patriots 31-28 (overtime) after Gaga’s performance. Super Bowl LI probably was the most impressive demonstration of determination in Brady’s career. He threw for 466 yards and two touchdowns on 43 completions in 62 attempts and scrambled for 15 more.

Asked if the 30-minute performance by Gaga had any impact on their performance, Falcons’ wide receiver Mohamed Sanu said on NFL Network’s Good Morning Football, “It definitely did. Usually, halftime is only like 15 minutes, and when you’re not on the field for like an hour, it’s just like going to work out, like a great workout, and you go sit on the couch for an hour and then try to start working out again.”

The Falcons never made it to the Super Bowl after that year. The Pats, however, went on to win one more in 2019. And with the current state that the team is in, maybe they could have Lady Gaga attend their games since she’s proven to be a lucky charm for them.
