Netflix aired its live roast of NFL legend Tom Brady on Sunday, with a few surprises in store for fans, including an unscheduled appearance by Ben Affleck.
The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady, which was part of the Netflix Is a Joke Fest, was streamed live, which Netflix touted as the first-ever roast to be telecast live, unedited. The festivities were held at L.A.‘s Kia Forum in Inglewood.
The 51-year-old Boston native is coming off his Dunkin Donuts Super Bowl commercial which featured Brady.
While that commercial was praised by fans, his performance – and his look – at the event, held at the KIA Forum in Inglewood, California on Sunday night, was bashed by fans.
The performance featured a number of awkward jokes and a lengthy rant about social media trolls, with many on Twitter branding his set the worst of the night.
Even Affleck himself joked that he, ‘probably wouldn’t work again after tonight’ before addressing Brady’s former coach, Bill Belichick.
