Ex-Teammate Reveals Tom Brady’s Unforgettable Impact, Setting High Standards for Patriots

New England Patriots President Jonathan Kraft, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft clap as former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady celebrates during a ceremony honoring Brady at halftime of New England's game against the Philadelphia Eagles at Gillette Stadium on September 10, 2023 in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

For decades we have heard about “The Patriot Way,” which was a huge reason why the franchise won six Super Bowls with Tom Brady at the helm.

His teammates always spoke so highly of him, and that hasn’t changed even in retirement according to one cornerback he used to play with.

Veteran cornerback Jonathan Jones went on “The Get Back” and provided some insight into who Brady was as a teammate, saying he was: “So humble…anybody who has the ability to be arrogant, it would be him,” and acknowledged how he “created a standard, not by his words…it was his actions.”

Jones spent four years as Brady’s teammate and stated that if Brady wasn’t being arrogant given all he had accomplished, no other player would be justified in acting that way.

Jones has spent eight years with the Patriots and has won two Super Bowls with Brady, so he understands the organization about as well as anyone and has stuck around even after things have gone south without Brady, and now without head coach Bill Belichick.

New England is starting to feel the weight of Brady’s absence after a dreadful 4-13 season that saw the demise of Brady’s successor Mac Jones, as the team recently traded the quarterback to the Jacksonville Jaguars to clear a path for a potential rookie with the third overall pick in the upcoming draft.
